On Friday, My CCA Red Cross had its orientation. The orientation is for welcoming the new secondary one students into the CCA. We started off with a few warm-up exercise before our seniors brief us on what we are going to do for the day.
The first activity we are going to do is called the 'Red Race'. The are 5 stations we had to go to in the race. The first station we went to is at the parade square, where we have to solve a puzzle. The second station is to figure out everyone's name. The third station requires us to evacuate a person. The fourth is for us to navigate through a maze while the last one requires us to build a stretcher. My team navigated through the race with much ease and we managed to finish second. After the race, we had a game of water bomb, where we throw water bombs at the opposing team. We filled up plastic bags with water and after that, threw the water bombs at each other. I threw the water bombs with great accuracy and made my friends thoroughly wet while i myself also got soaked by them as well.
After the water bomb event, there was the prize giving event where the winner of the race was given prizes each. Then, there was a de-briefing by the seniors and the teachers-in-charge. Overall, the orientation was fun for me and i look forward to making friends with the secondary 1 students.

The Chinese New Year is approaching and my mum asked me to go shopping for new clothes as it was a tradition to wear new clothes. My mum, sister and i went to Tampines to shop as it has alot of malls there.
We went to tampines mall to shop at first. We browsed through stall by stall, in an attempt to find the clothes i liked. My mother kept showing me clothes which i did not like. I rejected most of her recommendations of clothes. After awhile, she became angry, asking if i am serious about buying.
I apologised and continued shopping. Occasionally, i would come across some clothes that i liked but did not buy as it was too big for me. I was sad as some of the clothes were nice but i could no buy as i was too skinny.
After 3 hours of buying, i bought 2 clothes and 1 shorts. I was very tired after a whole day of buying and wondered why do people wear new clothes during Chinese New Year. However, i soon realised that the thought was stupid as Chinese New Year is a beginning of a new year and i should be wearing new clothes. I really look foward to celebrating Chinese New Year as it is a day where my whole family gather.

Today was one of my favourtie day of the week. It was Tuesday, the day which my class had our P.E. My physical education teacher told us that he would be splitting us into 2 groups and that one group would be doing high jump while another group would be playing floorball. My group would be doing the high jump.
Our physical education teacher Mr Lee first set the pole to about a little shorter than 1m. He showed us an example of how to jump first. After a few demonstration, he than let us try it out personally. We queued up according to register number. A few of my friends went first, seeing them jump makes me think that it was quite easy. When it was my turn, i ran at full speed and jumped. I flipped over the pole and i made it! My friends were all cheering and i was very happy. After the first round, we realised that it was actually a trial. Mr lee raised the pole to exactly 1m. Seeing the increasement, we were all anxious. When a few of my friends jump, they failed and this made me anxious. When it was my turn, i did exactly what i did at the first time. I ran with all my might and jumped. Looking back at the pole, which was still intact, i realised that i have made it!!!.
Mr Lee told us that does who made it would sit at the side and may proceed on to the next round. After the second round, only about 10 made it. The second round, the pole was about 1. 15m high. A lot of us gasped as the pole was like a third of our height. As usual, i did what i did, but on my first attempt, i jumped and my leg touched the pole, i failed. I was abit disappointed, but Mr Lee gave all of us 3 tries and so, i went back to the queue, hoping to clear it on my second try. When it was my turn again, my friends cheered for me. I ran at full speed and made jumped. I realised that i made it!!!. However, at the end of the second round, only 3 of us made it, Me, Justin and Damien. The last round, Mr Lee raised it to about 1.3m. As i was first, i made the jump. my leg touched the pole and i failed. After the last round, only Damien and Justin made it. I failed despite that Mr Lee gave me a fourth try.
Today's experience was great and i hoped that during the next jump, I would clear all stages

25th December was Christmas Day. My relatives had all decided to gather and celebrate the special day. We decided to celebrate it and my aunt's house, as she had just moved and we would all like to see how her new house looked like.
The moment i reached and entered my aunt house, i was amazed at how wonderfully decorated it is. There is even a outdoor dining area where we had our dinner had. My cousins were all playing their own games while my aunts and uncle were gathered around the dining table eating and chatting. We had prawns, sushi, noodles and potatoes for diner. The food were all specially prepared by my relatives. I ended up playing my psp as i was quite bored.
Soon, a few hours had passed by unknowingly and it was soon for the final food for the day, the cake. It was a chocolate cake with some toppings on top. The chocolate cake was so nice that i had eaten 3 portions. I could have eaten more if my aunt didn't say that there was not enough for all of us. After about another hour, it was about 10plus and as all the children complained of being tired and bored, the adults had no choice but to stop chatting and give in to us. We soon pack up, collected my presents and went home.
At home, i had a great time unwrapping my presents. I received stuffs like stationery to music player. I had a great Christmas this year and hope that they would be more of such gatherings with my family.

Today, a few of my friends encountered a unlucky incident during our recess. We were playing soccer during recess as usual to any other days.
We found an empty spot at the side of the field and started playing. We were having a great time and playing soccer can help us to relax a bit and de-stress us from the busy school life. Halfway into the game, about 15minutes or so, a bunch of students from the other class came to the field. The field was fully packed and there was no more spot for them to play. I looked at them and laughed as they deserved it for coming down to the field so late as most of us know that to get a good spot to play soccer, we must rush down to the field immediately once the bell has rung, like what my friends and us did.
The bunch of students then talked among themselves before walking towards a teacher supervising the soccer field. I noticed them pointing at us and after awhile, the teacher came walking towards us. The teacher then spoke to some of us, before pointing at another spot of the field and asked us to play there instead. We looked and noticed that even though is is unoccupied, there is also no goal post to play. we were shocked to see how 'fair' this teacher was. We thought that why can't the other bunch of student, who came later than us, play at the spot instead of us.
However, since its the teacher decision, we had no choice. We tried to get some unused goal post to play but there were none in sight. In the end, we had to just play shooting the ball into one goal post. Although we had a fun time, i think that the teacher is very unfair that we have to leave and give the spot to the other bunch of the student instead of asking them to occupy the other spot.
